Staying cool & looking cool.

I hope everyone is lucky enough to be experiencing some sunny times now that it's officially Summer! Me? I'm gearing myself up for my first LA summertime, but have no clue what I'm in for. After having lived in San Francisco for 11 years, my body doesn't know how to react to this heat - it's actually kind of funny. That being said, who knows when the last time I actually visited a beach was, so I'm on the lookout for some cute finds that will keep me cool while also looking cool! Ha! I'm thinking these might do the trick, no?

Lovely Party Idea!

I'm mixing it up a tad this week because I was so inspired by these streamers that I couldn't help but want to share with anyone that hasn't seen them yet. My gal pal Christine (Pinning extraordinaire) pinned these insanely adorable DIY streamers that had me wanting to throw a party asap! The beauties featured below were made by Lora Jean Magazine (endless amounts of DIY goodness over there btw), who was inspired to make them from seeing this tutorial. If you're like me, you've probably seen these single streamers on their own at party stores and thought, "Eh, I guess these will have to do". Well, think no more! Next time I see these babies I'm going to grab a bundle of colors and swing out some of my sewing to make a new fresh take on streamers. Thank you internet and crafty ladies out there for sharing such easy and fun ideas and tutorials!

A Day in the Sun.

We know, we know. We've been bad little bloggers.  We're sorry.  But truthfully, we are up to our eyeballs in crafting and creating projects for some really fun clients and their upcoming weddings.  Two of which, are the really adorable Amy & Adam, seen below.  We got to spend an afternoon with the lovebirds and Taryn and Shelby from Joielala Photographie shooting with some fun little props we brought along for the occasion.

All together now.

Sometimes you just like the way things look together. That's pretty much what happened with this week's picks. I started with the Fina Du dress and Ray-Bans - thinking to myself, "Oo, these would look sweet on me for Summer". Then the navy and coral in the cotton napkins felt like the perfect pop of color needed in this board, plus they reminded me that it's probs a good idea for me to snag some of them. I want to be that person that has friends over for dinner and brings out some cute cloth napkins instead of tearing paper towels into fourths (please tell me I'm not alone on this). Well, there you have it! I couldn't think of a title for this particular board, just thought they looked quite pretty together.
