A Mexican Wedding To Be.

When my sister-in-law announced the news that she was engaged I immediately asked her what colors or theme she wanted for her wedding. Her reply: Oranges, Blues, Reds! And, like most of you who bookmark tons of weddings for inspiration, I had the perfect one in mind. I sent her this post that was featured on Style Me Pretty in April of last year. Did she love it? Oh yes she did! So here I am estatic as ever because I get to help her plan and execute the colorful wedding of her dreams with fun little details of her and her fiancè here and there. The colors are bold, you can't go wrong with papel picados, Mexican hot sauce bottles, old Mexican cans as vases...The possibilities are endless! Closet & Casa

Miles to Style.

What happens when you LOVE fashion, LOVE design, LOVE your furry family members? You get a very awesome new site dedicated to just that - all of the above! The ever-so-lovely Christine of LAMA and contributing author over at Dog-Milk has combined all of her awesomeness into one of my new favorite sites, Miles to Style. Shopping for yourself and your best friend has never been so easy. I die when little Miles (the inspiration behind it all) makes a special appearance and swoon heavily when Christine posts fashions I can't wait to try on. It's my favorite new find and hope you love it just as much as I do! 

p.s. Christine recently got engaged, so a huge congrats to her and can you just imagine how great her wedding will be? I'm eagerly awaiting details as they come!

A Wedding Quilt.

Not too long ago, the hubs and I received an amazing delivery and I just had to share.  It's such a beautiful heirloom type present that I think everyone may need this token from their wedding day.  My mom and I had spent months collecting, cutting and sewing assorted fabrics into napkins before carefully packing them into our carry on luggage and hauling them down to Mexico for my wedding.  At the end of the night our friend Barbara went around and silently collected the remnants while the rest of us danced the night away in a tequila haze.  I never gave them a second thought.  To see these amazing reminders of that day all over again in a handsewn quilt was just darn rad.  Possibly the best present yet.  Here they were, memories of Mexico. Something to snuggle next to the fire with, to wrap our future children in, and to pass on to another generation.  Our wedding quilt.  Pretty special I must say.  

So should you be collecting, cutting and sewing just like I was, be sure to create something magical from it. You'll be glad you did.

Love you, Love your show.

Even if you aren't a big fan of Valentine's Day, we are insisting that you throw on some sequins and at least have one dessert today (uhhhh we may have already eaten some chocolate for breakfast, problem?).  Sequins & confetti always make us smile, so get on it and have some fun today!  Enjoy a few more pics from our shoot with the cute Megan of Forget Me Knot Weddings & the amazing girls of Joielala Photographie.  Cheers to all of you.  You've made us feel totally loved this year and we can't thank you guys enough.
